Anonymized manuscript for scientific review
The author/scientific editor will provide the complete anonymized manuscript in a single Word or PDF file, including illustrations. Application of Casa de Velázquez standards is not necessary at this stage.
Double-blind scientific review is carried out by peers selected by the Editorial Board, on the basis of their field of research (period and theme concerned) and their status. Authors and experts remain anonymous.
On receipt of the expert reports, drawn up within a minimum period of four to six weeks, a summary is sent to the author/scientific editor who, in the event of a favorable opinion, is invited to submit within a maximum period of six months his/her final manuscript, taking into account the modifications proposed by the experts and the characteristics of the publication. In the event of disagreement, he/she is asked to justify his/her position.
If the expert opinions do not converge, a third expert is called in.
In the event of unfavorable assessments, the manuscript will be rejected and the author/scientific editor will be informed.
